Hello! I am a higher education nonprofit consortium leader with more than 25 years in higher education working in student affairs at two private liberal arts colleges and a public research university. Through these positions, I have developed programming and strategies for scholarships, student exchange programs, enrollment, and retention initiatives. I have served in leadership for regional and national organizations.
My doctorate in education is from Iowa State University and I hold the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in communication studies from the University of Northern Iowa. My research interests include student persistence, study away programs, and leadership.
I routinely present to large and small groups, organizations, and classes, and enjoy building relationships with students, colleagues, and clients. I believe that Carl Jung and Nevitt Sanford knew what they were talking about.
Specialties: Student exchange, student affairs, study away programs, psychological type, MBTI, first-year seminar, social media, leadership development, retention initiatives, team building, assessment, writing, public speaking, college students, analysis, data collection, media strategy, blogging, higher education, and financial aid.
